This MOOC discussed the basic principles and concepts related to distance education and open learning. The completers of this MOOC are able to: (1) Define and differentiate the various concepts related to distance education; (2) Describe the different generations of distance education as they happened in the Philippines; (3) Discuss the quality frameworks in ODeL; and (4) Reflect on one’s implementation of distance education programs and be able to select the model appropriate and relevant to one’s context.
